May be it is the curiosity in me or just the fashion aficionado that I am—I always find myself tapping into fashion news and style from all nooks and corners of  the world. And, in doing so, I often tend to draw a lot of inspiration for my own personal style from "every day people on the street"—street being a major part of our daily existence.
And there is no denial that when it comes to street fashion; Parisians seem to conquer every classic fashion conundrum with their impeccable and effortless choices…
This post is dedicated to street fashion and the way it has changed and revolutionized the world of fashion.  So, here are some of my favorite street looks from Paris!

Do you have a shirtdress?

A woman can never have too many shirtdresses.

A shirtdress is not just a timeless piece for your closet, but also a convenienet clothing item that can take you from your office to a night out on town with your friends. A right length shirtdress when paired with soft accessories can be a flattering silhoutee for all body types.

Shirt-dresses come in various styles and designs and if you think there's not one made for you- I am sorry, but you're wrong!! Yes, you heard me. No matter what your style is--there's a shirtdress for you.

Next time, when you're at a store debating about your "shirtdress purchase," remember-- it's an option for everyone. And, yes! that includes you reading this post...

Spring purses

With spring being right around the corner, purchasing some spring purses right around this time wouldn't be a bad option. When buying one, make sure that the purse will easily transition into summer. Here are some of my favorites (at least in terms of design and color).

Happy Spring!

The 60s Effect

As I was flipping through the pages of the September issue of Vogue 2011, I couldn't help but fall in love with these beautiful pictures of model Lara Stone in these bright and retro feel oversize knits paired with 60s long skirts. The pictures reminded me of the character, Betty Draper from Mad Men played by actress January Jones.

There is no denial that Lara in her "Betty Draper-esque" hair (from Mad Men) with a tiny bit of blush and some serious red lipstick appears to be channeling the sophistication and femininity of 1960s suburban housewives with a modern touch of its own.

To add a little retro feminine style into your modern-day look or draw some '60s inspiration into your personal style , pair your sheath dresses with a classic camel colored trench, add some bright-hued pullovers/crewnecks and even a leopard print cardigan to your structured long skirts/high-waisted pencil skirts. And, remember! No 60s look is complete without some bold red lipstick and cultured pearls.

So, are you ready to take a fashion trip back to the 60s?
